Rectangular antique white Cochin ware pot with superb patina and age. There are understandably several areas of damage but still perfectly usable for a chuhin sized or slightly larger deciduous tree. The glaze has taken on the dirty look that characterises antique Cochin ware and has built up a dark line of patina around the base of the pot. Nakawatari so approx 200 years old.
It has two main areas of damage, one is a poorly repaired internal crack which is not visible from the outside and the other a damaged foot, again not visible from the front. Neither affect the structural integrity or the appearance of the pot.
This is a perfect pot for someone looking to use antique containers with their trees but does not want to pay a fortune for an undamaged pot.
