Correct fertilising of bonsai requires two things, a carefully considered plan of fertilising dependent on species, requirement and time of year as well as the best fertiliser for the job. I keep mine simple using only three or four products throughout the year and this is one of them.

Fish emulsion is an organic fertiliser which is easily absorbed by the trees resulting in strong and steady growth and extension in the early part of the year as well as overall strength and health throughout the rest of the season. Roots, foliage, flowers and branches will all improve

This is made from anchovies and has a meaty smell, reminiscent of bovril and is perfectly stable. Shake well before use, keep in a dark and cool place. Mix 4ml to 1 litre of water and use every week/two weeks as required.
