I have always looked to find the beauty in all trees and tried to create trees that transcend form and structure and speak to a deeper reality than the superficial form.

By focusing on the innate character of each tree, each species, each growth habit, I try to create bonsai that evoke the natural world with elegance and harmony.

Appreciating age, character, line, space and form are fundamental cornerstones of the aesthetic promoted and created here. Technique is essential but it is not the end in itself.

Although classically trained in Japan, my tastes and preferences tend towards the less orthodox.
